Persimmon, which is not well known as dried fruit, is among the dried fruits whose demand has increased recently. Persimmon is obtained from the fruit, also known as the Paradise date, which is a nutritious type of date the size and appearance of a tomato. The skin of the fruit is peeled off and left to dry in a sun-exposed and damp place. The drying process can vary from 1 to 3 months. The white layer formed on the outside of the fruit is not mold, but is due to the sugar of the dried fruit coming to the surface. It can be added to many foods such as cake, sauce, marmalade, pudding or consumed as a sweet snack.
